Danger Mouse, Run The Jewels & Big Boi Take Us For A Ride In ‘Chase Me’

What’s a chase movie without a bomb playlist for the ride? Thankfully, the people behind the upcoming film Baby Driver understand this very important element and have gassed up the soundtrack with a high octane collabo between Danger Mouse, Run The Jewels and Big Boi. The result, “Chase Me,” is an explosive track that gets us amped to do a 100 on the highway. Or at least in our head.

For the hyperkinetic banger, Danger Mouse samples the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s “Bellbottoms.” Mr. Mouse gives us a classic boom bap with a nice bit of thump and rolling bass to get your heart racing. RTJ's El-P opens the track with a few tough bars, followed by his partner in crime Killer Mike who delivers that 93 octane flow. Of course, we get a dramatic breakdown before Daddy Fat Saxx delivers his verse, which doesn’t disappoint.

Directed by Andrew Donoho, the video has our team of hip hoppers on a wild chase from the police. The clip does a great job of combining original footage with scenes from the movie seamlessly. We get good lyrics, a hot beat, guns and some great chase scenes. What’s not to love?

Baby Driver, starting Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey, hits theaters on June 28th. The movie is shaping up to be a potential summer blockbuster. The soundtrack for the film will be mostly classic rock and soul, perfect for putting your pedal to the metal. Hit play below to get into the groove of this summer banger.
