With his highly anticipated SUMMERS’ album due in just a few days, veteran singer and object of many women’s desire, Maxwell, delivers another peaceful and lovely tune from the LP, titled “Hostage.”
“I am your hostage / A simple object / Use as you please / And I will remain ignorant and believe you,” he sings out over the soft and serene beat. If it hasn’t been on your radar as of late, Maxwell has been releasing multiple tracks from the album, and gave fans the opportunity to engage in an exclusive listen on Monday, June 27 at noon in every Starbucks across the nation.
In addition to today’s release of “Hostage,” fans of the singer can hear the tracks “Fingers Crossed,” “All The Ways Love Can Feel,” “Gods,” “1990x” and the album’s single, “Lake By The Ocean“.
SUMMERS’ hits shelves this Friday, July 1 and for those traveling to this year’s ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans, Maxwell will be performing on the main stage the same night.
